In 2012 Yarra Valley Water (YVW) began refurbishing their buildings and transitioning YVW from an “office and cubicles” layout to an Activity Based Workplace and the old “book a room through Outlook” paradigm wasn’t working for them anymore. A better way to manage meeting rooms was required. With meeting rooms spread around four buildings, it was crucial to YVW to find a solution providing central administration to avoid any potential support nightmare.
Moving into a new and large office environment, LanguageWire decided to look for a digital signage solution to get a better overview of their daily meeting activities. Far too often, they found themselves without any available rooms in the Microsoft Exchange/Outlook calendar even though the rooms were physically empty, which led to a lot of unnecessary confusion and interruptions.
With a wide range of different systems and complicated working procedures used for the booking of meeting rooms and resources, employees at Pfizer had no overview of available rooms and resources.
