Why Pronestor is now called Sign In Workspace

We all know the stories of software companies that started in a garage and ended up as something bigger. For Pronestor, the case isn’t that much different. The primary difference, in fact, is that the Pronestor story began in a kitchen.

Over the past twenty years we’ve been through several different products, and right from the start it was my ambition to establish a great team of people who could help me develop relevant software centered around facility and resource management.

It took a while, but we have grown into a company of 40+ employees who service customers all over the world.

Now, however, something is changing.

While we never put a for sale sign outside the building, our chairman, Palle Viby Mogensen, and myself have spent a fair amount of time meeting with potential buyers and investors.

We can attribute a lot of this to the development in the market, and what’s been happening in the field of workplace management.

Every time we’ve had a meeting with a buyer or investor, the first thing we’ve done has been to assess the match and the chemistry. After twenty years, it’s been extremely important to me, that whoever was brought on, would share in the vision of making not only our customers’ workplaces work, but also our own.

What am I going to do now?

Before I go any further about what will happen with Pronestor in the future, let me address the elephant in the room.

Where am I going?

This is something I’ve been asked a lot. By customers, partners, and even competitors. And the answer is I am not going anywhere.

Within the first 10 minutes of any dialogue with investors I have said the same thing – “I’m not done making workplaces work. I want to make Pronestor bigger and better with the great team we have assembled. And I still want to spend my days trying to improve the future of work for everyone.”

Although my title might change, my role will not.

I will continue to drive the vision of Pronestor and the direction of both Workspace and Planner, and I plan on doing that for years to come.

And with that out of the way, let’s look at what will happen next.

What does the future of Pronestor look like?

In the beginning of 2022, we were approached by Sign In Solutions, an innovative workplace enablement partner. And from very early on it was clear that there was a match in both vision and culture that made a merger possible.

And that is exactly what has happened.

We’ve become part of Sign in Solutions and I, for one, am super excited about the future of Pronestor, a Sign In Solutions company.

In October of last year, we gained 150 new colleagues, spread across multiple continents. And they are all just as excited as we are to help shape the workplace of tomorrow.

Together with the people from Sign In App, Sign In Enterprise, and Sign In Compliance we are going to make workplaces a whole lot safer, and a whole lot better for more than 130 million users.

But the thing that was most important to me in this whole ordeal wasn’t the number of users, the new colleagues, or the business potential.

The single most important thing was that we had shared values and ideas on how our workplace should look, and how any workplace should look for that matter. And in that regard, the alignment between Pronestor and Sign In Solutions was amazing.

So, while names, titles, and even color schemes may change over the next few years, some things aren’t going to change.

We’ll continue our fight to improve the work-/life balance of employees all over the world.

We’ll continue to fight for honest, open, and inclusive workplaces.

And we’ll continue towards a future of work that is better than what work and workplaces looked like in the past.

In short, we’ll continue to make every workplace work – every day.
